Team Georgia at RoboChallenge 2026

About the project

From 30 October to 2 November 2026, Georgia's national robotics team will compete for the first time at RoboChallenge 2026 in Bucharest, Romania. The three winning teams of the national championship will represent Georgia in three categories:

• Mega Sumo
• Mini Sumo
• Line Follower

The team brings together student and family teams — 12 participants in total, representing the country at an international championship of this scale for the first time.

From national champions to the international stage

On 20 June 2026 in Tbilisi, GRA organised the Georgian STEAM and Robotics Championship 2026, which brought together school pupils, students and young engineers from across the country: 80+ competing teams, 5000+ visitors and 3 winning teams.

What is RoboChallenge 2026?

One of Europe's largest international robotics championships (17th edition), bringing together hundreds of teams, young engineers and robotics enthusiasts from around the world: 48 countries, 326+ teams, 1300+ participants, 483+ robots.

What the money is for

The RoboChallenge organisers do not cover the teams' travel, accommodation or preparation costs. The team needs 23,000 GEL to take part:

• Flights — the teams' international travel
• Accommodation — hotel / housing in Bucharest
• Robot preparation — components, technical upgrades, testing
• Team branding — uniforms, materials and media content

For companies

Support is flexible: a company can fund the remaining amount in full or cover part of it. A partner company will be presented as the team's official partner:

• logo on the team's uniforms, banner and communication materials
• mentions on GRA's social media: team introductions, on-site videos and a wrap-up
• the brand linked to the team's first appearance at RoboChallenge 2026
