Robotics at a sports festival
On 21–22 September 2024 the Georgian Robotics Association (GRA) ran its own zone at Sportsfest. Visitors could pick up a controller and join mini robot battles — little bots, and see a range of hand-built robots.
It was not a championship — it was a chance for children and parents to try robotics with their own hands for the first time. About 20,000 visitors came to the festival in total.
What came next
The interest in the mini battles showed it was time for a combat robot championship in Georgia — in 2025 the association held its first ROBO BATTLE 2025. Every championship year by year — in our history.
