A Georgian robot in the top ten
At RoboChallenge 2026 in Bucharest, Romania, two of Team Georgia's teams — RageByte and Kavtazi — raced in two line-follower categories. A line follower has to complete the track by following the line precisely, in the shortest possible time.
The biggest success: in the classic Line Follower RageByte 2 finished 10th of 83 robots from 12 countries — a Georgian robot in the top ten of one of Europe's largest robotics championships!
Classic Line Follower — 83 robots
- RageByte 2 (RageByte) — 10th place, time: 4.628 seconds;
- Kavtazi (Kavtazi) — 13th place, time: 5.606 seconds.
Only 35 of the 83 robots got a time on the track — both Georgian robots are among them, in the upper part of the table. The category was won by NEON 01 of the Mexican team EXOTIC (2.668 seconds).
Line Follower Turbo — 54 robots
- RageByte 3 (RageByte) — 11th place, time: 4.465 seconds;
- Kavtazi2 (Kavtazi) — 17th place, time: 6.270 seconds.
54 robots from 10 countries raced in Turbo and only 20 of them got a time — both Georgian robots completed the track with a result. Here too the Mexican NEON 01 won (2.955 seconds).
The teams
The recorded times are very good! In the classic Line Follower we took 10th and 13th place among 83 robots from countries all over the world. Given the overall results, this is an important achievement for our teams!
We will analyse the experience and the results and keep working on speed, precision and stability, so that we show even better results at the next international competitions!
RageByte: Dachi Nazrishvili, Eto Chakhvashvili, Misho Kalandarishvili and Nini Gotsadze. RageByte also competed in Mega Sumo and finished first in its group — the sumo results.
Kavtazi: Rati Gogichashvili and Nino Meshveliani.
