RoboChallenge 2026: Kokadama Finish in the Combat Robot Top 16

RoboChallenge 2026, Bucharest: Kokadama's two combat robots won 5 of their 9 fights, and Kokadama5 finished in the top 16 of 56 robots from 12 countries.

9 fights, 5 wins

Kokadama, one of Team Georgia's teams, has finished its run in the combat robot category at RoboChallenge 2026. In Bucharest, Romania, 56 robots from 12 countries fought in the 1.36 kg (3 lb) combat robot category. With two robots — Kokadama4 and Kokadama5 — Kokadama fought 9 fights and won 5.

Kokadama5 finished joint 13th–16th of 56 robots — in the top 16. It fought six fights and left the tournament in the quarterfinal, after its fight against AḠDAR PL of Team Khudanov from Uzbekistan — a robot that made the championship's top eight.

In this tournament a robot is out only after its second defeat: a robot that loses once goes on fighting in the second-chance bracket. Robots knocked out at the same stage share a place — that is why Kokadama5's place is 13th–16th.

Kokadama5: six fights

Kokadama5 — the robot with two long forks and red details — fought six fights at the championship. Its opponents were:

  1. Delta V — Team IDKWID, United Kingdom (third place at the championship);
  2. Princess Megatron 3000 — Arduidiots, Romania;
  3. Gunter — AR-UPIITA, Mexico;
  4. O.M. (Overkill Machine) — Gagauzian Project Group, Moldova;
  5. Taz — TARS UPV, Spain;
  6. AḠDAR PL — Team Khudanov, Uzbekistan.

Against the Romanian, Mexican, Moldovan and Spanish robots Kokadama5 won four fights in a row and reached the quarterfinal. There, in the end, it lost to AḠDAR PL from Uzbekistan. More on that path: Kokadama reach the quarterfinal.

Kokadama4: three fights and a knockout

Kokadama4 had no opponent in the first round and started the championship straight from the second. It fought three fights; its opponents were:

  1. D-Hex — CMR-UPIIZ, Mexico;
  2. Pi v2 — Scope Creep Robotics, United Kingdom;
  3. AḠDAR PL — Team Khudanov, Uzbekistan.

Kokadama4 won its fight against the Mexican D-Hex by knockout (KO): the opponent's robot fell apart and smoke filled the arena. In the end Kokadama4 lost to AḠDAR PL from Uzbekistan and finished joint 17th–24th. How both of Kokadama's robots reached the round of 16: Kokadama's two combat robots reach the round of 16.

Who won

  1. Biribinha 3lb (Kimauánisso Robotics Team, Brazil) — champion;
  2. BOLEK (LOLEK, Poland) — second place;
  3. Delta V (Team IDKWID, United Kingdom) — third place.

Interestingly, the champion took a path like Kokadama's: it lost the main bracket's final to BOLEK, came back through the second-chance bracket, beat Delta V and then beat BOLEK in the grand final. The result of every fight is on the championship's website: Combat Robot 3lb — the tournament bracket.
